56 Grant Drive, Benalla
From its beginnings in 2005 with only a few gums on the western side the design focused on minimal watering, mass planting, habitat for birds and to be self-sufficient.
Heavy mulching and awareness of sun direction, particularly in summer, has allowed a surprising variety of plants to prosper. An increasing variety of birds visit the garden from the Little Eagle to Scrub Wrens and the extremely melodic and companionable Rufous Whistler.
